Multi- Tasking

I never knew how easy it was to do two things at the same time till I had a slow internet connection. Now I can blog and upload photos at the same time. I can even take a shower and shave and up load photos. I have no idea how long I’m going to last at this but I’m sure it is just a matter of time till I’m pulling my hair out. I don’t have much left so I have to be careful about that I don’t need a sun burnt head. Weather here has been kind of warm and muggy for a few days and I do well what fat guys do when the work. I was doing a little week wacking yesterday and it didn’t take me to long to work up a sweat. I just had sea monkey freeze up on me and if you don’t know what sea monkey is it is a fast we browser but it does have its short comings. Now I’m using IE 7 and I don’t have anything nice to say about that web browser. It just doesn’t work well on a slow connection but it does work if you have time to wait. Good thing I’m retired. The wife is at work and I have all afternoon to get my photos posted on face book. Looks like I have to eat a few of my words or I type slower than I think I do. I E 7 is working ok… Nothing worse than not liking something and have it work just fine.  I finally got all my photos loaded but then it crashed when I was reading my messages from my friends. What can I say is it face book or is it the web browsers or Hey maybe it is Vista that is the cause of my head aches. I have to try out my lap top I have Xp on that and I never have to many problems.

Alabama living

Living in Alabama is a lot different than from what I have become accustomed to living in Illinois. Here people want to get to know you were in Illinois people didn’t give a hoot if you lived or died. Shopping here can be a pain in the neck for some things but you learn to work around that. One huge help is the wife is still working at Walmart so she does most of the shopping and if I need anything I just call and leave a message on her cell phone and she picks it up after work. That saves big time on fuel cost for every one in the family. There is never a dull moment around here I have plenty to keep me busy and some times I wish I had more time for my self. I’m still living with my brother in-law and sister in-law but not for much longer. We hope to be in our new home real soon. The real upside to living in Alabama is the lakes and all of the fishing close to home. I don’t have to go far to have a good time fishing I just have to figure out a way to do it with out hurting my self. I know you are thinking how in the world can you get hurt fishing. I have found the sport to be very painful. I was trying to get into the boat one time and started doing the splits between the dock and the boat and I took the option to get back on the dock. I feel and landed on a small cooler I had in my hand and I still have a lump on my leg and that was two months ago that happened. Then there was the time I was fishing with my nephew and I dropped my new rod and reel in the lake and I went to grab it before it sank and I did a flip into the lake and I hit my foot on the boat on the way into the water. That was a quick healing and I felt more like a fool for what I did. Then just the other day I was fishing off the shore and I stepped on a wet rock and went sliding into the water and bent the fingers on my left hand backwards and I hit my back on a bolder that was in the water. I’m still dealing with the sore fingers from that mistake. I was doing some serious thinking about not doing any more shore fishing. I’m finding that to be pain full. One time I fell and I had a digital camera in my pocket and I broke the LCD screen on that. I had a choice of spending $137 to fix it or get a new one for $157 and I took the option for the new one. It was four days later after I got the new one when I fell in the lake off the boat and ruined that one. I know there has to be some kind of a lesson in all of this for me but one thing for sure when I go fishing I don’t have anything in my pockets that I don’t want to loose.
